Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

There have been some instances of the DPF soot antennae being reported as bent or damaged. There have also been instances of issues relating to the electrical connection of the soot antennae.

Solution

Ensure that the soot antennae are tightened to a torque of 45 N·m (33 lb ft). Check that the wiring to the soot antennae is correctly routed. Ensure that the connector to each antennae is tightened to a torque of 1.2 N·m (11 lb in).

If the symptoms persist refer to M0077352, "Soot Antennae Check for C7.1 Engines" and M0077527, "Low NOx Conversion Event Codes on C7.1 Engines"
