Improved Valve Covers Used
Usage:
D379, G379, D398, G398, D399 And G399 Engines
Description of Change: An improved valve cover is now used on the above engines. The change was made to improve the shape of the seal groove. This will give a better seal between the cylinder head assembly and the valve cover.
Adaptable As: The new 2N3598 Valve Cover is a direct replacement for the former 2N3598 Valve Cover. The part number did not change. The new 2N3598 Valve Cover has a mark in the shape of an "O" or a "C" that is located below the part number.
The new valve cover is in effect on the engines shown in the chart.
