Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the fluid end.

1. Remove sleeve (1) and stay rod (2). Repeat for the remaining sleeves and stay rods.

1. Before installing stay rod (2), clean threaded bores (3) and the surrounding surface area on the nose plate. Apply Tooling (A) in the bottom 19.0 mm (0.75 inch) of thread bores (3).

2. Apply Tooling (B) on stay rod (2) between Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is 13 mm (0.5 inch). Install stay rod (2) into threaded bore (3). Adjust stay rod (2) until Dimension (Y) is obtained. Dimension (Y) is 438.15 to 439.72 mm (17.250 to 17.312 inch).

3. Apply Tooling (C) to the non-threaded surface of stay rod (2) to prevent corrosion and possible premature failure.

4. Apply a thin layer of Tooling (C) to the inner diameter of sleeve (1) to prevent corrosion and possible premature failure. Install sleeve (1) on stay rod (2). Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 for the remaining stay rods and sleeves.

1. Install the Fluid End.
