NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.



NOTICE

Ensure that all of the rotor components are thoroughly clean before assembling the rotor. Failure to do so can cause an out of balance condition that can cause rapid wear to the bearings and the spindle.

    ------ WARNING! ------

    Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.

    To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.


    Note: Before you assemble the centrifugal oil filter, thoroughly clean all of the parts and inspect all of the parts. Replace parts that are damaged or worn.

  1. Lubricate shuttle (17) with clean engine oil. Place the shuttle and spring (16) in body (12). Install the gasket and plug (14).

    Note: Bearing (3) and bearing (15) were checked in the disassembly procedure.

  2. Install spindle (7) in body (12).

  3. Position stand tube (8) on base (13).

  4. Install a new paper liner (5) in rotor cover (4). Place O-ring seal (11) on base (13). Position rotor cover (4) on the base.

  5. Position the rotor assembly on spindle (7).

  6. Use Tooling (A) to hold the rotor assembly and install nut (2).

  7. Install O-ring seal (9) on the body.

  8. Place cover (6) and clamp (10) on the body. Tighten clamp (10) and nut (1).

End By:

  1. Install the centrifugal oil filter.
