Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the valve mechanism cover.

1. Remove bolts (1).

2. Remove rocker arms and shaft (2) as a unit with Tooling (A).

Installation Procedure

1. Install rocker arms and shaft (2) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Apply clean engine oil to the underside of the bolt heads, for bolts (1), prior to installation.

   2. Use the tightening sequence in Illustration 2 to tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 50 ± 5 N·m (37 ± 4 lb ft). Turn bolts (1) an additional 45° ± 5°.

2. Adjust the electronic unit injectors. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Unit Injector - Adjust".
