Do Not Use Later 9N3979 Nozzle Assemblies In Plate Of Earlier Nozzle Assemblies{1254}

Usage:

3208 Industrial, Marine, Truck And Vehicular Engines

Some engine problems have been caused by installation of wrong fuel injection nozzle assemblies. Later 9N3979 Nozzle Assemblies must not be installed in place of any earlier nozzle assemblies. The 9N3979 Nozzle Assemblies have a different design with different injection characteristics, and are specifically for use with the later 3208 Engines, as shown in the chart. Installation of these nozzles in earlier 3208 Engines can cause a reduction in engine performance, increase emissions in some conditions, and possibly cause exhaust smoke. For this reason, it is very important to use only the correct nozzle assembly when replacement becomes necessary.
