NOTE: If the cooler group loosens from the cover assembly during disassembly or assembly, a new 9L6262 Gasket will be needed between these parts.

Description of Change: The oil filter and oil filter base assemblies on the 3208 Engines have been redesigned (changed) to remove the bypass valve from the filter and put it in the filter base. A bypass valve in the filter base gives more control of bypass pressure than a valve in each oil filter.

Adaptable To: The new filter and filter base assemblies are adaptable to 3208 Engines as shown in the chart that follows:

NOTE: If the cooler group loosens from the cover assembly during disassembly or assembly, a new 9L6262 Gasket will be needed between these parts.
