Problem

Power train software installed on certain machines is not current.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of the problem and an interim repair has been defined.

Follow the instruction below to ensure that the latest required software is installed on your machine.

1. Open SIS-Web to download required software. Select "Service Software Files".

2. Select "Flash Files - ECM Software Files".
   Show/hide table

3. Insert the software part number into the "Flash Filename" window. Select "Search". The software files will be listed below the "Flash Files Available for Download" heading.

4. Select the 515-0007 Power Train Software Gp file.

5. Save the software to a file location that can be accessed.

6. Flash the power train ECM with 515-0007 Power Train Software Gp.
