New VIMSpc software version 2015A is now available on certain Cat^® products. The new software includes the following versions in the release of 2015A:

• VIMSpc software 2015A (5.3.0.1 Update).

• Version 3.1.4 of the database.

• Version 15.2.9 of the master data.

Enhancements and Modifications of VIMSpc Version 2015A

The enhancements and modifications of VIMSpc version 2015A are listed below:

• Enhancements to machine connectivity.

• Introduced auto-detect functionality for Ethernet connection.

• Enhanced data logger reporting to view data from multiple files.

• Added support to connect and reset 185-6778 Monitor Electronic Control Module (Truck Payload Measurement System ((TPMS)).

• Added support to display data from 5130 shovel.

• Enhanced snapshot report to identify trigger event.

• Added support for payload files for 992G.

• Support for user-defined state and value parameters for reports from PLElitesystems.

• Enhancement to database deletion process.

• Improvements in reporting download screen information.

Installation Requirements

PC Admin Rights are required to install VIMSpc and master database updates. Once installed, standard users can run VIMSpc.

Note: All air cards should be removed and Virtual Private Network (VPN) turned off prior to installation, and when running VIMSpc while connecting to VIMS 3G modules.

System Requirements

The following computer hardware, communication hardware, cables, and software are needed to run VIMSpc successfully:

• IBM^® PC compatible with pentium 1 GHz processor or greater.

• 2 GB RAM.

• Required Windows 7 or Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit) Operating System (OS)

• RS232 port with 16550AF UART (or compatible) or USB 1.1 or 2.0 port with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) to serial port adapter ( 370-8059 Adapter Kit) for use with VIMS download cable ( 127-9797 Cable As) for VIMS ABL and 68K hardware.

• Ethernet port for use with the VIMS 3G download cable ( 425-6889 Cable As) for VIMS 3G hardware.

• Adobe PDF reader.

• Java 6, 7, or 8 (32-bit version).
