New firmware has been released for the MS990 GNSS Receiver. Version 3.33 firmware will be shipped with all new MS990 Receivers that have AccuGrade GPS. The firmware is also available as a free download. This version of firmware for the receiver includes new features and improvements.

Improved CAN Communications
This version of MS990 firmware improves the CAN communications from the MS990.

Improved RTK Solution
Significant improvements have been made to the RTK solution. The users can expect the following improvements:

• RTK-Float solutions

• Ionospheric modeling in the RTK solution

• Handling of cycle slips

• Handling issues that forced the MS990 to remain in DGPS or RTK-Float mode

Improved SBAS Handling
SBAS handling and SBAS positioning are improved by the following:

• Tracking multiple SBAS satellites

• Verifies the satellite validity

• Reports the SBAS solutions as a new solution type

Improved GLONASS Handling

• Improves GLONASS tracking and GLONASS positioning with tracking and signal acquisition

• GLONASS L2 C/A tracking (on GLONASS "M" satellites)

• Ephemeris handling

• Improved use of GLONASS observables in the RTK solution

Improved Satellite Tracking in High Dynamic Environments
Improves carrier phase tracking for GPS L2 and GLONASS L2 signals when the antenna is in high shock, vibration environments.

Improved RTCM Correction Input
Version 3.33 firmware improves the handling of RTCM input from base stations.

This download is a self extracting zip file that contains all the current production firmware for AccuGrade 3D version 10.7 on Motor Graders, Track-Type Tractors, Excavators, and Compactors.

Once the firmware is extracted, the firmware is broken into four main folders containing sub folders in order to help clarify the use of the different file types. The file will be saved under the "Sensor" folder with the name MS990333.s.
