Procedure to Install Printer Kit in the Cab on Certain Medium Wheel Loaders {1408, 7490, 7494, 749P, 7610, 7620}

Introduction

This Special Instruction will provide parts and procedure to install 483-9693 Printer Kit on machines listed above.

Personal injury or death can result from machine articulation or movement.

Machine frames can move and a person can be crushed.

Connect the steering frame lock link between the front and rear frames before working on machine. Secure clevis pin with locking pin.

Before operating the machine, fasten the steering frame lock link into the stored position and secure the clevis pin with locking pin.

Failure to lock into the stored position before operating can result in loss of steering.


Machine Preparation

  1. Drive the machine onto a smooth level surface that can support the weight of the machine.

  2. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the starting switch.

  3. Perform Lockout Tag Out procedure by attaching a warning tag to the machine controls.

  1. Mount bracket (1) on column block (A) using two truss head screws (2).

    Note: Keep the bolt (2) on top of the bracket loose.

  2. Install base (3) to bracket (1) using four socket head bolts (4).

  5. Install printer kit (6) on base (3) and secure using four pan head screws (7).

  6. Connect wiring harness (8) to printer kit (6) and secure other end of wiring harness (8) with bracket (1) using ladder clip (9) and cable strap (10).

  7. Connect one end of wiring harness (11) to wiring harness (8).

  8. Attach bracket (12) to bracket (1) using bolt (2) that was kept lose in Step 1. Tighten bolt (2) after installing bracket (12). Route wiring harness (11) inside bracket (12) and secure using six cable straps (10).

  9. Secure the other end of wiring harness (11) with bracket (12) using ladder clip (9) and cable strap (10).

    Secure bracket (12) on column block (B) using truss head screw (13).

  10. Connect wiring harness (11) to the power source.
