Description of Change: An improved Wiper Panel Assembly and HVAC Panel Assembly is now used on certain 950M, 962M, 966M, 972M, 980M, and 982M Medium Wheel Loader machines. When replacing existing operator cab Wiper Panel Assembly and HVAC Panel Assembly, software updates are required for compatibility with Wiper and HVAC Dial inputs. Changes to the Wiper Panel Assembly and HVAC Panel Assembly provide improved service life.

It is important to replace all the files listed below to maintain compatibility of functions between the ECMs. Use Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) 2014A v1.0 or later. Save the configurations of the ECMs to file using the ECM Replacement feature in Electronic Technician. The new software part number is listed in Table 2.

Note: This change was in effect with 464-7732 Machine Software Group. The 464-7732 Machine Software Group has been replaced by 475-1080 Machine Software Group .The improved 461-7393 Panel and 461-7396 Panel are effective in production and are adaptable to the machines listed in Table 3 below.
