Assembly Procedure

Table 1
Required Tools
Tool  Part Number  Part Description  Qty
421-5681  Bracket
1P-0520  Driver Gp
386-6030  Lever Hoist
369-9451  Grease

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Note: Apply oil to all the bearings before assembly.

  3. Place the press supports underneath the inner race of bearing (38) to prevent damage to bearing (38)

  4. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to install stator carrier (37) into bearing (38).

Note: Before Installing stator carrier (37), ensure that Tooling (D) has retained seal (39) evenly in the seal groove. If seal (39) protrudes from the seal groove, damage may occur when stator carrier (37) is installed.

    ------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

  10. Install race (26), freewheel springs (27), and freewheel rollers (28).

Note: Be sure to install freewheel springs (27) with the lesser number of loops going toward race (26), as shown in Illustration 10.
