Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting

Usage:

623H DBF

------ WARNING! ------

When testing and adjusting the transmission and power train, move the machine to an area clear of obstructions, with safe exhaust ventilation for the exhausts. Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent possible injury, do the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the transmission and power train.

----------------------

  1. Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface. Move the machine away from any machines that are in operation. Move the machine away from other personnel.

  1. Permit only one operator on the machine at one time. A service person may be in the area in order to instruct the operator. Check that all other personnel are away from the machine at all times.

  1. Turn off the cushion-hitch. Make sure that the rear bracket assembly rests on the front hitch assembly.

  1. Activate the parking brake. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground. Lower the apron (if equipped). Lower the bail (if equipped). Turn off the engine or engines. Turn the key switch to the ON position and wait for two seconds.

  1. Move the joystick control to all positions in order to relieve the pressure in the hydraulic system. Turn the keyswitch to the OFF position.

  1. Make sure that the rotary actuator for the tractor is in the NEUTRAL position. Also, make sure that the selector shaft for the scraper transmission is in the NEUTRAL position.
