Installation Procedure for Lift Kickout Control On Certain Track-Type Loaders{5109}

Introduction

This Special Instruction provides a rework procedure for 3E-7844 Lift Kickout Control on Track-Type Loaders. The 3E-7844 Lift Kickout Control is a direct replacement for the 8C-9763 Lift Kickout Control .

Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read this Special Instruction and you understand this information.

Rework Procedure

The following steps are guidelines to modify the machine harness to accept the 3E-7844 Lift Kickout Control . This procedure will allow the 3E-7844 Lift Kickout Control to be a direct replacement for the 8C-9763 Lift Kickout Control when used on the models that are specified in this document.

  1. Remove the connector and sockets from the machine harness for the 8C-9763 Lift Kickout Control .

  1. Strip the wires and crimp the 9X-3402 Connector Sockets onto the wires.

    (2) Location for the Black wire

    (3) Location for the Gray wire

  1. Install the 155-2260 Connecting Plug Kit onto the wires with the 9X-3402 Connector Sockets by following the cavity assignments found in Table 3 and as shown in Illustration 1.
