Installation Procedure

Typical Example

1. Install the STIC steering control lever and the steering pilot valve as a unit.

2. Connect hydraulic control lock (17) to the steering pilot valve.

   Note: Make sure that the spring is in the back of the hydraulic control lock.

3. Install spacers (18), the washers and three bolts (16) .

4. Connect four hose assemblies (15) .

5. Connect two electrical connectors (14). Install three cable ties (13) .

6. Install housing (9) and screws (10) .

7. Install nut (11) and knob (12). Tighten nut (11) .

8. Install housing (8) and eleven screws (7) .

9. Install lock knob (5). Tighten nut (6) .

10. Install guard assembly (3) and four screws (4) .

11. Lift handle (2) and close lid (1) .

12. Check the oil level in the hydraulic tank for the steering system and for the braking system. For the correct procedure, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for your machine.

13. Start the engine and check for leaks.

14. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Note: After the steering frame lock is separated, check for proper operation of the steering system.
