Removal Procedure

1. Remove two bolts (3) .

2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to vibration damper (1) and adapter (4). The weight of vibration damper (1) and adapter (4) is approximately 90 kg (200 lb).

3. Remove two bolts (2) and install Tooling (B) .

4. Remove remaining bolts (2) and slide vibration damper (1) and adapter (4) off Tooling (B) .

5. If necessary, remove remaining bolts (3) and vibration damper (1) from adapter (4). The weight of vibration damper (1) is approximately 51 kg (112 lb).

1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to vibration damper (1). The weight of vibration damper (1) is approximately 51 kg (112 lb).

2. If vibration damper (1) was removed from adapter (4), install vibration damper (1) on adapter (4) with bolts (3) .

3. Install Tooling (B) in the crankshaft.

4. Position vibration damper (1) and adapter (4) on Tooling (B). The weight of vibration damper (1) and adapter (4) is approximately 90 kg (200 lb). Slide vibration damper (1) and adapter (4) against the crankshaft.

5. Install bolts (2). Remove Tooling (B) and install remaining bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 1150 ± 150 N·m (850 ± 110 lb ft).

6. Remove Tooling (A) and install remaining bolts (3) .
