ReferenceRefer to Special Instruction, REHS3369, "Identification and Servicing Straight and Angled D11N/R Roller Frames" for information on converting D11 rollers from mounting with two bolts to mounting with three bolts.

Description of Change: The new mounting caps for the idlers and rollers have contact surfaces for the bolts that are now machined. The machined surfaces ensure full and uniform contact between the bolt and the cap. This is important for retaining bolt torque, and will resist loosening of the mounting bolts.

Additionally, the machined surface is perpendicular to the bolt hole. Also the machined surface is parallel to the bottom of the cap that contacts the bogie arm. This ensures the straight alignment of the bolt with the cap when torque is applied, and therefore will resist bolt breaking throughout the service life.
