Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

1. Park the machine on a flat, level surface. Lower the grapple and the decking blade to the ground. Position Tooling (A) on both sides of the rear wheels of the machine.

2. Remove bolts (1) from yoke (2). Repeat this Step for the opposite end of drive shaft (3) and remove drive shaft (3).

Installation Procedure

1. Position drive shaft (3) and install new bolts (1). Make sure that drive shaft (3) is properly seated in yoke (2) before tightening bolts (1).

2. Tighten bolts (2) in a crisscross pattern to a torque of 120 ± 20 N·m (90 ± 15 lb ft). Repeat this Step a second time.

3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the opposite end of drive shaft (3).

4. Remove Tooling (A) from the rear wheels of the machine.

End By:

1. Disconnect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
