Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Loosen nut (4) that attaches tube assembly (2) to the cylinder block.

- Remove banjo bolt (3) and washers (1) from the cylinder head. Discard washers (1) .
- Remove banjo bolt (3) and washers (1) from the cylinder block. Discard washers (1) .
- Remove tube assembly (2) from the engine.

- Position tube assembly (2) on the engine.

- Position banjo bolt (3) and new washers (1) on tube assembly (2). Install the tube assembly on the cylinder block.
- Position banjo bolt (3) and new washers (1) on tube assembly (2). Install the tube assembly on the cylinder head.
- Install nut (4) that attaches tube assembly (2) to the cylinder block.
- Tighten banjo bolts (3) to a torque of 12 N·m (106 lb in).
