System Response:
The event code will be logged. The ECM disables the injection signals to the injector solenoids.
E264-3 (Shutdown)
The engine will shut down.
Test Step 1. Verify the Cause of the Emergency Stop
- Talk to the operator and determine the reason for the emergency stop.
Expected Result:
The reason for the emergency stop has been determined.
Results:
- OK - The reason for the emergency stop has been determined.
Repair: The emergency stop condition can be reset by performing the following steps:
- Reset the emergency stop switch to the OFF position.
- Cycle power to the ECM in order to clear the emergency stop condition.
STOP
- Not OK - The emergency stop is not activated.
Repair: There may be an open in the circuit for the emergency stop. Refer to Illustration 1 as a reference for the following test step.
- Check for an open circuit between the following test points:
- ECM connector P1-23 and terminal 27 of the engine harness connector
- Terminal 27 of the C37 harness connector and terminal TB3-14
- Terminal TB3-14 and terminal 1A on the emergency stop switch
- Terminal 1A on the emergency stop switch and terminal 2A on the emergency stop switch
- Terminal 2A on the emergency stop switch and the battery disconnect switch
- ECM connector P1-23 and terminal 27 of the engine harness connector
STOP
- Check for an open circuit between the following test points:
