Separator Springs Are No Longer Used in the Planetary Transmission {3030, 3160}

The separator springs are being removed from the planetary groups. Tests have shown that the springs have little impact on horsepower and the springs are being removed in order to reduce the complexity of the transmission.
The 171-7174 Springs will be removed from planetary groups that are part of the 172-2268 Transmission Ar in D10R (S/N: AKT436, 441-443, 445-447 and 451-UP) Track-Type Tractors.

The springs may be reused or discarded from D10R (S/N: AKT1-435, 437-440, 444 and 448-450) Track-Type Tractors when the planetary is rebuilt.
The 171-7174 Springs spring will no longer be serviced.
