Altorfer Inc.

Altorfer Inc. is the assembler of the XQ Rental Generator Set. Altorfer Inc. assigns part numbers to all of the Type I parts that are used in the XQ Rental Generator Sets that are manufactured by Altorfer Inc.. Altorfer Inc. uses the same part number as the original supplier when the part is a purchased part.

In order to obtain additional service information from Altorfer Inc., the following Caterpillar information is required.

• Caterpillar Model Number

• Caterpillar Engine Shipping Order Number (ESO)

• Engine Serial Number

This information is found on the serial number plates that are found on the XQ Rental Generator Sets that are manufactured by Altorfer Inc..

Warranty Claims

Claims that involve Type II parts should be addressed to Altorfer Inc.. Call (309) 697-1234 for parts availability and shipment.

Any expenses for labor and travel that are incurred as a result of warranty for any Type II parts should be processed as a warranty claim to Caterpillar.

Designations for Bills of Material

Item Number

The item number is designated for the item (part) in the illustration.

Quantity of Parts

The quantity of parts is the number of parts that are shown on the Bill of Material.

Supplier Part Number

If the part number is available from the supplier, the part number is listed in the chart. This will facilitate the ordering of parts.

Part Name

This is the designated name of the part that comes from the supplier.

Name of the Supplier

This is the name of the manufacturer of the part or the distributor of the part. Caterpillar is the supplier for Type I parts. The name of the manufacturer or the name of the distributor is listed for Type II parts. The space is left blank for Type III parts. These parts are parts that have been fabricated or obtained locally.

Description of the Supplier

A brief description of the location of the part or the function of the part is offered for further identification of the part.

Type of Product Support

This is the category for product support for the part.
