Start By:
- Remove the final drives and the sprocket assemblies. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive and Sprocket - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
- Remove the track brakes. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track Brake - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
- Drain the oil from the final drive.
Note: The drain plug on the final drive must be in the lowest position in order to ensure that as much oil as possible can be drained from the final drive.
- Place the final drive on Tooling (A) (not shown) with the side that bolts to the frame DOWNWARD.

Note: Remove all the bolts and the sprocket segments.

- Remove seal ring (19) and the toric ring, only if the Duo-cone seal kit will be replaced.

- Support shaft (23) while the spindle is removed.
- Remove shaft (23).
