Note: The oil hole is in the horizontal centerline.

(B) Ends of bushing

Note: The ends of the piston pin bushing are on the same side of the connecting rod as matching marks (1).

(2) Bore of piston pin bearing ... 30.020 to 30.045 mm (1.1819 to 1.1829 inch)

Clearance between the piston pin bearing and the piston pin

Minimum ... 0.020 mm (0.0008 inch)
Maximum ... 0.051 mm (0.0020 inch)
Service limit ... 0.080 mm (0.0032 inch)

(3) Distance between the two centers ... 180 mm (7.09 inch)

(4) Connecting rod bore

Bore ... 61 mm (2.40 inch)
Tolerance for the bore ... 0.019 to 0.000 mm (0.0007 inch to 0.000)

(5) Connecting rod bolts

Before assembly, put engine oil on the bolt threads and all surfaces that make contact between the bolt and connecting rod caps.
Torque for the connecting rod nuts ... 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)

Minimum ... 0.15 mm (0.006 inch)
Maximum ... 0.35 mm (0.014 inch)
Service limit ... 0.50 mm (0.020 inch)

(8) Markings on piston

Assemble the piston and connecting rods. Ensure that the markings (8) on the piston and the markings (1) on the connecting rod are on the same side.

(9) Install the piston assembly with the marks (1) on the connecting rod toward the camshaft (9).
