Track Arm - Remove

Usage:

Removal Procedure

  1. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.

  1. Place two suitable lifting devices under the machine, as shown. Raise the machine off the ground.

  1. Remove three bolts (1), the washers and the clips that secure two lubrication lines (2) to track arm (3) and the frame. Disconnect two lubrication lines (2) from track arm (3). Remove bar (4) that secures pin (5) to the frame.

  1. Remove three bolts (6) and the washers that secure retainer (7) to pin (5). Remove retainer (7) from pin (5).

  1. Use a hammer and a brass rod to remove pin (5) that secures track arm (3) to the axle housing.

  1. Remove two bolts (8), the washers and bar (9) that secures pin (10) to the frame. Remove three bolts (11) and the washers that secure retainer (12) to pin (10). Remove retainer (12) from pin (10). Use a hammer and a brass rod to remove pin (10) from track arm (3) and the axle housing. Use two persons to remove track arm (3) from the axle housing. The track arm weighs 23 kg (51 lb).
