Installation Procedure

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to piston motor (3) and position piston motor (3) to fan drive assembly (9). The weight of piston motor (3) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

2. Install bolts (13).

3. Reposition fan drive assembly (9) on suitable blocking.

4. Position fan spider assembly (10). The weight of fan spider assembly (10) is approximately 71 kg (157 lb). The blades should be facing the downward direction, as shown.

5. Install bolts (11). Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 5 lb ft).

6. Install bolt (12) and the adapter. Tighten bolt (12) to a torque of 215 ± 40 N·m (160 ± 30 lb ft).

7. Attach a suitable lifting device to piston motor (3) and position fan drive assembly (9). The weight of fan drive assembly (9) is 245 kg (540 lb).

8. Install bolts (8) that fasten fan drive assembly (9) to the radiator guard assembly.

9. Install lower fan guard assembly (7).

10. Install center fan guard assemblies (6).

11. Connect hose assemblies (4) to piston motor (3).

12. Install clamps (5).

13. Use two people in order to install upper grill (2). The weight of upper grill (2) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).

14. Use two people in order to install lower grill (1). The weight of lower grill (1) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

End By:

1. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
