Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Remove horn button (1) from steering wheel (2). If necessary, use a screwdriver to pry off the horn button.

3. Disconnect electrical connector (3) from horn button (1).

4. Remove retaining nut (4) from steering wheel (2) .

5. Use Tooling (A) to remove steering wheel (2) .

1. Install steering wheel (2) .

2. Install retaining nut (4). The torque for retaining nut (4) is 37 ± 7 N·m (27 ± 5 lb ft).

3. Connect electrical connector (3) to horn button (1) .

4. Install horn button (1) on steering wheel (2) .

End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
