Description of Change: A new 136-7813 Bearing is available for replacement of 5P-5168 Bearing in the torque converter impeller. The 136-7813 Bearing has a different type of bearing cage that can withstand higher speeds. The former 5P-5168 Bearing can fail due to engine overspeed caused by downshifts or descending steep grades.
Adaptable To: The new 136-7813 Bearing directly replaces former 5P-5168 Bearing and should be used when making repairs or when rebuilding torque converters.
The new 136-7813 Bearing is effective with D25D (1HK758-Up), D30D (3AJ448-Up), D250E Series II (4PS422-Up), and D300E Series II (5KS379-Up) Articulated Trucks, 615CII (9XG1288-Up) and 611 (6SZ198-Up) Wheel Tractor Scrapers. Effective torque converter group serial numbers are listed in Chart 1.
The new 136-7813 Bearing is adaptable to the machines listed in Chart 2.
