• The output to the solenoids for the turbocharger compressor bypass valves from the master Electronic Control Module (ECM) is ON.

• The master ECM detects reduced current in the circuit for the solenoids for the turbocharger compressor bypass valves.

Note: This code can only be detected by the master ECM when the output for the solenoids for the turbocharger compressor bypass valves is ON. This output is normally ON during either of these conditions:

• Turbocharger surge

• Engine shutdown

Note: Engine shutdown occurs when the output for the fuel control relay is OFF and the engine rpm is above 100. The master ECM will continue to activate the output for the solenoids for the turbocharger compressor bypass valves until the engine rpm drops to zero.

System Response:

The shutdown indicator is activated. The code is logged.

Possible Performance Effect:

The engine is shut down.
