E015 High Engine Coolant Temperature Derate

Usage:

3126B 3GS
Conditions Which Generate This Code:

The engine has been running for more than ten seconds. The coolant temperature is greater than 110 °C (230 °F) for at least 30 seconds.

System Response:

The Electronic Control Module (ECM) will log the event.

The ECM will derate the engine power at a rate of 1.67 percent per second while the event remains active.

The ECM will derate the engine power by 25 percent for each degree above 110 °C (230 °F).

The engine will shut down if the coolant temperature exceeds 113 °C (235 °F).

The ECM will restore full engine power when the coolant temperature falls below 108 °C (226 °F) for five seconds.

Test Step 1.

Refer to Troubleshooting, "Coolant Temperature Is Too High".

Results:

  • OK - STOP
