Tone Change for the New Heavy Duty 10-02 Engines {0116, 1000}

- C-10 (S/N: MBJ1-UP)
- C-12 (S/N: MBL1-UP)
- C-15 (S/N: MBN1-UP)
Customers may notice a tone change between 1000 and 1400 RPM on the new heavy duty 10-02 engines while the customers are running through the RPM range. The tone change may also occur as engine temperature changes. The tone change is required to provide optimum engine performance.
The tone change is not accompanied by any change in torque. Also, driveability is not affected by the changes in the tone of the engine. This tone change is normal and the engine does not require any service.
