Description of Change: A new top piston ring is available for use in these commercial engines. The coating on the face of the new top piston ring is less dense. This will help reduce the wear on the cylinder liner.
Adaptable To: The new 229-1631 Piston Ring (Top) can be used as a replacement for the 144-5694 Piston Ring (Top) in 3500 Diesel Commercial Engines.
