Installation Procedure for the 377-8018 Control Module Gp on Certain Hydraulic Excavators{1901} Caterpillar

Excavator:

374F (S/N: NFJ1-UP; MFL1-UP; DNM1-UP; AT21-UP; AP41-UP)

390F (S/N: HJD1-UP; TYE1-UP; MGF1-UP; HSM1-UP; GAY1-UP)

Introduction

This Special Instruction is organized into modules. Caterpillar suggests installing one module at a time. The instructions are written for 377-8018 Control Module Gp .

Safety Section

Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.

Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service the equipment. These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.

1. Install harness (5) .

2. Install switch (4), bracket (3), and cover plate (2). Use screws (2) .

3. Connect harness (5) to the switch, and the cab harness.

4. Connect the other end of harness (5) to the panel at the rear of the cab.
