Note: Use the same dimensions and the same adjustment procedures for the right governor and for the left governor.

(1) Throttle shaft and lever

(2) Cross shaft and lever

Diameter of cross shaft ... 15.735 ± 0.013 mm (0.6195 ± 0.0005 inch)

(3) Cross shaft bearing cage

Bore in bearings for cross shaft ... 15.88 ± 0.005 mm (0.6252 ± 0.0002 inch)

(4) Reference angle

Reference angle for the shaft of the carburetor (full open to full closed position) ... 75 degrees

(5) Rod end and nut

Assemble the rod ends in order to provide equal thread engagement in the rod on both ends.

Torque ... 12 ± 4 N·m (9 ± 3 lb ft)

(6) Upper assembly

Adjust the assembly from the shaft of the carburetor to cross shaft to the following length:

G3508 ... 194.2 ± 1 mm (7.65 ± 0.04 inch)

G3512 ... 194.2 ± 1 mm (7.65 ± 0.04 inch)

G3516 ... 179.8 ± 1 mm (7.08 ± 0.04 inch)

(7) Middle assembly

Adjusted length ... 404 mm (15.9 inch)

(8) Lower assembly

Adjusted length ... 254 ±1 mm (10.00 ± 0.04 inch)

(9) Angle

Use the following procedure in order to adjust angle (9):

1. Hold the governor shaft in the full open position.

2. Install the lever at an angle from horizontal to the following value:

   Angle ... 5 + 5 degrees

(10) Reference angle

Reference angle (full open to full closed position) ... 37 degrees
