A throttle cable (12) will need to be installed to the selection lever (10). The type of cable and the length of cable will depend on the type of installation and the vessel.

A fuel shutoff solenoid is equipped with the turbocharged 3054 Marine engine. However, a cable for the manual stop lever (9) should also be installed. This will ensure that the engine can be shut off manually. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Manual Stop Procedure" for information on stopping the engine manually.

Note: A mechanical linkage or a cable will need to be installed on the marine transmission. This will enable the selection of the proper gear. Refer to the literature that is provided by the OEM of the transmission.
