(1) Apply 198-0308 Lubricant lightly to the sealing lip of the lip type seal.
Note: Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound to the thread of the bolt (2) .
(2) Torque for the bolt ... 115 ± 15 N·m (85 ± 11 lb ft)
(3) Apply 30 grams of 198-0308 Lubricant to the fan adapter cavity.
(4) Apply 10 grams of 198-0308 Lubricant between the fan adapter cavity and the bearing.
Note: Some applications may have a hydraulic drive for the fan instead of a drive pulley. If the fan has a hydraulic drive, the fan and the radiator are not mounted on the engine. The fan and the radiator will be mounted on the frame.
