Improved Travel Speed Switch for Mini Hydraulic Excavators {1408, 5258}
- Mini Hydraulic Excavator:
- 303 (S/N: DMA1-UP)
- 304 (S/N: NAD1-UP)
- 305 (S/N: DSA1-UP; DGT1-UP)
Description of Change: The entrance of dirt causes the floor mounted travel switch to fail on certain mini hydraulic excavators. A new switch arrangement has additional seals in order to prevent dirt from entering.
Adaptable To: Replace the existing switch with the new arrangement. The new parts are available for the excavators that are listed above.
Note: This new switch arrangement was not installed during production of the above listed machines.Required Parts

| ( 1 ) | Installation torque is 27 N·m (20 lb ft). |
| ( 2 ) | Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound during installation. Installation torque is 15 N·m (11 lb ft). |
| ( 3 ) | Clean the adhesion surface. |

Assembly Instruction
- Insert shaft (2) into the boss for the switch.
- Attach the washer (4) to the top of the mounting boss.
- Hold the shaft. At the same time install plate (3) onto the shaft.
- Attach washer (5) to the switch (1). Install the switch (1) .
