Removal Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

1. Fully raise blade (1). Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to blade (1). Raise the front of the machine and position suitable blocking under blade (1) in order to support the front of the machine approximately 102 mm (4.0 inch) off the ground. The weight of the machine is approximately 2948 kg (6500 lb).

2. Open the engine access doors. Attach a suitable lifting device to counterweight (2) and raise the rear of the machine. Position Tooling (B) under the rear of the machine in order to support the rear of the machine approximately 102 mm (4.0 inch) off the ground. The weight of the machine is approximately 2948 kg (6500 lb).

3. Lower the bucket to the ground.

4. Release the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust".

5. Remove bolts (3). Remove track roller (4) .

1. Position track roller (4). Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (3) and install bolts (3) .

   Note: Ensure that track roller (4) turns freely after installation.

2. Adjust the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track Adjustment - Adjust".

3. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to blade (1). Raise the front of the machine and remove the suitable blocking under blade (1). The weight of the machine is approximately 2948 kg (6500 lb). Lower the front of the machine to the ground. Lower the blade to the ground.

4. Open the engine access doors. Attach a suitable lifting device to counterweight (2) and raise the rear of the machine. The weight of the machine is approximately 2948 kg (6500 lb). Remove Tooling (B) from the rear of the machine. Lower the rear of the machine to the ground. Close the engine access doors.

5. Lower the bucket to the ground.

6. Close the engine access doors.
