Removal Procedure

1. Start the machine. Place the bucket on the ground. Stop the engine.

2. Open the hood of the machine.

3. Fasten a suitable lifting device to the counterweight, as shown.

This view is below the counterweight.

4. Remove four bolts (1) and the spacers that hold the counterweight to the swing frame of the machine. Remove the counterweight. The weight of the counterweight is approximately 3300 kg (7275 lb) .

1. Put 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of four mounting bolts (1) and the face of the four spacers.

2. Fasten a suitable lifting device to the counterweight, as shown. The weight of the counterweight is 3300 kg (7275 lb) .

3. Install the four spacers and four bolts (1) that hold the counterweight to the swing frame of the machine.

4. Close the hood of the machine.
