Introduction
The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
Cab doors may not open from the outside on the machines listed above. If the outside door handle is pulled too hard, the linkage for the outside door handle may become disconnected within the door. The doors can be opened from the inside.

Solution
If the doors do not open from the outside, refer to the following rework procedure:
Do not operate or work on this equipment unless you have read and understand the instructions and warnings in the Operation and Maintenance Manual. Failure to follow the instructions or heed the warnings could result in injury or death. Contact any Cat dealer for replacement manuals. Proper care is your responsibility. |
- Open the door using the inside door handle.
Note: Access the inside door handle without breaking the windows or exterior door handles. If you cannot easily access the inside door handle, contact your Dealerships Technical Communicator (TC). The TC can create a Product Health Service Request (SR), reference this publication in the description. Attach any relevant photos prior to submitting the SR to Caterpillar if instructions are necessary.
