Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

455-9313 Gear Pump Gp (Brake Charging Section) in 513-8326 Gear Pump Gp and 455-9314 Gear Pump Gp (Brake Charging Section) in 513-8327 Gear Pump Gp may have premature bushing failure. This failure causes an increase in low brake pressure alarms.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an interim repair has not yet been defined.

If you have experienced this problem, refer to the following information.

• Submit a Dealer Solution Network (DSN) ticket quoting CPI number 359825.

• Request that the Tier 1 representative, transfer your ticket to an available Tier 2 representative for Hydraulics.

• The Tier 2 representative will request a solution for the particular failure.
