Improved Hydraulic Fan Filter Housing Is Now Available for Certain 834K Wheel Dozers, 836K Compactors and 988K Wheel Loaders {1408, 1435, 5057, 5068}

Description Of Change: An improved hydraulic fan filter housing is now used on products listed above. The improved hydraulic fan filter housing is devised to eliminate triggering of early bypassing event code until optimum usage of the filter. This ensures efficient usage of the filter and reduces the service cost.

Adaptable To: The improved hydraulic fan filter housing is adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and is effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

Rework Procedure for Replacing Oil Filter Group on 834K Wheel Dozers

  1. Disconnect the existing hoses, harness and tubes from the former filter before replacing the filter.

  2. Replace the former 345-3969 Bracket with new bracket (1).

  3. Install the bracket by letting it to hang on the slotted holes.

  4. Incase of mounting the former filter to new bracket (1), the bracket (1) should be pushed higher in slotted holes and installed.

  5. Replace the former 115-2129 Oil Filter Gp with improved oil filter group (6) and secure it to bracket (1) as shown in Illustration 1.

  6. Install two adapters (2) with two O-ring seal (3) on both side of the oil filter group (6) as shown in Illustration 1.

  7. Secure clip (4) and cable strap (5) arrangement to bracket (1) as shown in Illustration 1.

  8. Route the hydraulic pressure sensor switch (A) through clip (4) and cable strap (5) arrangement as shown in Illustration 1.

  9. Connect the hydraulic pressure sensor switch (A) to the tank wiring group (B) as shown in Illustration 2.

  10. Connect the existing hoses, harness and tubes that were disconnected in Step 1 as shown in Illustration 3.

  1. Disconnect the existing hoses, harness and tubes from the former filter before replacing the filter.

  2. Replace former 427-1207 Bracket new bracket (1).

  3. Replace former 115-2129 Oil Filter Gp with improved oil filter group (7) and secure it to bracket (1) as shown in Illustration 4.

  4. Install two adapters (4) with two O-ring seals (5) on both sides of the oil filter group (7) as shown in Illustration 4.

  5. Replace former 375-1448 Hose As with new hose assembly (6) as shown in Illustration 4. Adjust the orientation of hose (B) to avoid any interference.

  6. Secure the clip (3) and cable strap (2) arrangement to bracket (1) as shown in Illustration 4.

  7. Route the hydraulic pressure sensor switch (A) through clip (3) and cable strap (2) arrangement as shown in Illustration 4.

  8. Connect the hydraulic pressure sensor switch (A) to tank wiring group (B) as shown in Illustration 5.

  4. Install two adapters (5) with two O-ring seals (4) on both sides of oil filter group (6) as shown in Illustration 8.

  5. Install the clip (3) and cable strap (1) arrangement to the bracket as shown in Illustration 8 and Illustration 9.

  6. Route the hydraulic pressure sensor switch (K) through clip (3) and cable strap (1) arrangement as shown in Illustration 8 and Illustration 9.

  7. Connect the existing hoses, harness and tubes to the oil filter group which were removed in Step 2 as shown in Illustration 10 and Illustration 11.

Note: The new improved filter group is also adoptable to machines equipped with ecosafe hydraulic oil or arctic oil.
