(1) Fuel pump drive gear

(2) Assemble the washer with the large diameter away from the gear.

(3) Ensure that the timing pin and the timing bolt are correctly installed. Put a clockwise force of 68 N·m (50 lb ft) on the drive gear for the fuel pump and tighten the bolt to the following torque. ... 270 ± 25 N·m (200 ± 20 lb ft)

(4) Fuel pump idler gear

End play for the new idler gear ... 0.10 to 0.42 mm (.004 to .017 inch)
Maximum permissible end play for the worn idler gear ... 0.86 mm (.034 inch)
Bore in the new bearing for the idler gear ... 35.018 mm (1.3787 inch)
Diameter of the new shaft for the idler gear ... 34.955 ± 0.013 mm (1.3762 ± .0005 inch)
Clearance between the new shaft and the new bearing ... 0.050 to 0.076 mm (.0020 to .0030 inch)
Maximum permissible clearance between the worn shaft and the worn bearing ... 0.23 mm (.009 inch)

(5) Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the two bolts and to the stud threads prior to assembly. Torque for the two bolts ... 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft)

(6) Torque for the nut ... 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft)

(7) Assemble the plate with the markings away from the shaft.

(8) Camshaft gear

Note: Align camshaft gear (8) and crankshaft gear (10) by using the timing marks "V", as shown.

(9) Torque for the bolts ... 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 5 lb ft)

(10) Crankshaft gear

(11) Idler gear for the engine oil pump

(12) Drive gear for the engine oil pump
