测量新发动机的曲轴箱窜气。 记录该数据。 连续定期测量曲轴箱窜气量。 将记录的数据与新的数据相比较,可提供发动机状况的资料。

注: 曲轴箱窜气是用以确定机架上大修时间间隔的三个因素之一。 有关更详细的资料,参阅操作和保养手册, "机架上大修" 主题 (保养部分)。

新发动机短时间使用后,由于气缸活塞环的磨合落座会使窜气量降低。 曲轴箱窜气将随着下列零部件的磨损而逐渐增加:

  • 活塞环

  • 缸套

注: 活塞环有问题会使机油迅速降低品质。 有关活塞环的状况的资料可从测量窜气量和润滑油状况分析结果中获得。

一台磨损的发动机的窜气量可能超过新发动机窜气量的二倍或更多。

窜气突然增加表明活塞环断裂。 下列状况是曲轴箱窜气的其它潜在根源:

  • 气门导管磨损

  • 涡轮增压器密封渗漏

一台重新修配的发动机由于下列因素可能有大的窜气量:

  • 活塞环尚未正确磨合落座。

  • 磨损件如气门导管未被更换。

窜气过量可能表明需要大修。 由于保存有窜气量的记录,将会注意到曲轴箱窜气量过高之前的窜气量的逐渐增加。

使用 1U-8860 大发动机窜气传感器总成来测量窜气量。 请参阅随工具提供的专门说明书, SEHS8984, " 1U-8860 大发动机窜气传感器总成"。

记录发动机的窜气量。 保存测量结果的记录。
