PLE702 Network Manager. | |
The Product Link PLE702 is the Product Link Network Manager. The Network Manager is initially set up by using a computer with the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) software. The PLE702 is designed for use with the PL641 cellular radio or PL042 cellular radio. To use the new Product Link features, update to the latest version of Cat ET.
PLE702 uses the Cat Datalink® and the CAN/J1939 data link to communicate with other electronic control modules.
The module identifier (MID) for the PLE702 Network Manager is the number 190. The inputs to the Product Link PLE702 are listed in Table 1 for the three 44-pin connectors.

PL641 Cellular Radio with Internal Antenna

The PL641 cellular radio is offered with the option of having an external antenna, or an internal antenna. The option with an internal antenna is referred to the PL641 cellular radio with internal antenna.
The PL641 cellular radio with internal antenna contains both the GPS antenna and the cellular radio antenna. The PL641 radio is able to transmit data over 3G networks. The PL641 is also capable of switching between different cellular carriers based off current subscription status. The PL641 cellular radio communicates with the PLE702 Network Manager through Ethernet.
