Radiator, Hydraulic Oil Cooler, Air Cooler, and Fuel Cooler - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the cab.

  2. Remove the expansion tank.

  3. Remove the air cleaner.

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

  2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

  3. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to engine enclosure group (1). The weight of engine enclosure group (1) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

  4. Remove the bolts and engine enclosure group (1).

  5. Disconnect hoses (2) and hose (3).

  6. Disconnect three hose assemblies (5) and harness assembly (6) from fan motor (4).

  7. Remove the bolts and shroud (7).

  8. Disconnect hoses (8).

  9. Cut cable strap (9). Disconnect fuel lines (10).

  10. Disconnect mount (11).

  11. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to radiator, hydraulic oil cooler, air cooler, and fuel filter (14). The weight of radiator, hydraulic oil cooler, air cooler, and fuel filter (14) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).

  12. Remove four bolts (12).

  13. Remove mounting bolts (13). Repeat for the opposite side.

  14. Remove radiator, hydraulic oil cooler, air cooler, and fuel filter (14).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install radiator, hydraulic oil cooler, air cooler, and fuel filter (14) in the reverse order of removal.
