A change has been made to Service Magazine, SEPD2029, 08, April 2015 , "Improved Cold Weather Capability for Engines on 236D, 242D, 257D, 259D, 246D, 262D, 277D, 279D, 287D, and 289D Skid Steer Loader, Multi Terrain Loader, and Compact Track Loader Machines". The prefix has changed.

Description Of Change: Improvements have been made to the engine system to improve cold-weather operation with ambient temperatures below −18° C (−0.4° F). A single in-line heater and a new larger diameter tube to the turbo inlet are provided to improve cold-weather capability of machines.

Reference: Special Instruction, REHS9661, "Installation of the Closed Crankcase Breather (CCB) on Certain Machines Equipped with the C3.3B Tier 4 Interim Engines{1074, 1317, 664E, 7620}". These instructions also provide information on proper engine oil as per the Operation and Maintenance Manual, latest machine software installation, requirement for the demand fan to calibrate fan speed and the ambient temperatures when a rear door cover is required.
