Nozzle Heater Harness - Remove and Install

  1. Remove bolts (1) and screen (2). Open door assembly (3) .

  1. Remove bolts (4) and reposition cover assembly (5) .

    Note: The actual heated nozzle is part of the combustion head and is not serviceable, therefore the heated nozzle is not shown.

  1. Remove allen bolt (6) and the clamp assembly. Remove harness assembly (7) that connects to the heated nozzle (heated nozzle not shown).

    Note: Mark the routing of harness assembly (7) for assembly purposes.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (7). Cut all cable straps (8) and remove harness assembly (7)

  1. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove O-ring seals (9) and (10) from harness assembly (7). Discard O-ring seals (9) and (10) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install harness assembly (7) in the reverse order of removal.

      ------ WARNING! ------

      Use caution when you are using isopropyl alcohol. Avoid prolonged skin contact with isopropyl alcohol.

      Vapors may be harmful if inhaled. Use only in a well ventilated area. Do not smoke while using isopropyl alcohol.

      Isopropyl alcohol is flammable. Do not use near an open flame or near welding operations. Keep isopropyl alcohol away from heated surfaces exceeding 482°C (900°F).

      ----------------------

      Note: This connection is an electrical connection and cannot be lubricated with a petroleum-based lubricant. Isopropyl alcohol is the only approved lubrication for this connection.

    1. Lubricate new O-ring seals (9) and (10) with Tooling (B) prior to installation.
