There have instances where the engine configuration data has been lost during the process of programming the engine Electronic Control Module (ECM) with new software.

The ECM replacement file must be saved before programming the engine ECM with new software.

Refer to Troubleshooting, "ECM Software - Install" in order to program the ECM while retaining the engine configuration data.
